Responsibilities and Benefits of KVO Membership
By joining KVO, a congregation, union local or organization commits itself to:
- Developing a “core team” of leaders who can coordinate the congregation or organization’s participation
in KVO’s activities, including leadership development, one-to-one relationship building, and issue action
campaigns;
- Sending delegates to KVO’s Annual Convention, Delegates Assemblies, Chapter and Issue Committee meetings;
In turn, your congregation, union local or organization will benefit from:
- Membership in a Valley-wide organization, with opportunities to build relationships and work with
leaders and institutions from across the region;
- Leadership development training to build leaders for work in your organization as well as KVO;
- Skills and power to be effective on issues affecting your members;
- A vehicle that enables you to take public action on your values;
- A chance to help create a new vision for your community and our region.
